Arai

Arai was founded by Japanese hatmaker and hardcore motorcycle hobbyist Hirotake Arai. As a young man in the 1950's Japan's closed marked at the time made it difficult to obtain a proper helmet. Knowing the importance of safety, Mr. Arai set out to create a family business to sell his own helmets, and has been doing so for three generations since. With Arai helmets, safety standards such as Snell and DOT are the starting point, not the end goal, and modifications are still being made using Arai's in-house molding techniques in the original factory in Japan.
