Motorcycle Tank Grips, also known as traction pads, are rubberized sticker-like pads that go on your motorcycle tank, and sometimes frame. Their unique texture, pattern, and material gives riders better traction with their legs, and in-turn better control, especially when cornering or breaking. Higher quality tank grips pay for themselves because they are already cut to fit your motorcycle and won't damage your leathers. Some come with just 2 pieces for the right & left side of your tank. Others also include a center grip for your tank, and still others even include a left and right size frame grip. As far as motorcycle parts go, tank grips are a fantastic benefit for little cost. Not only are they used by racers and track enthusiasts, they're also used by road riders as well. Just a word of caution, check with the manufacturer before installing tank grips on bikes with flat or matte finishes as they could cause damage.
